L’ultimo Baluardo

From black monovarietal Cesenese, ancient native variety of local hills whose tracks were completely lost.
The harvest takes place at the end of October, the wine is subjected to a long maceration on the skins then aged in French oak barriques for 18 months before bottling. The result is a bright and mineral wine with notes of liquorice and red fruits that, with age, tends to lose colour getting rich in sandalwood and spices aromas. The first vintage was in 2011.
